Temperature Restrictions

Restricted Travel Periods:

Most GCC countries restrict pet travel during summer months (typically May-September) when temperatures exceed safe limits. Airlines may refuse to transport pets when ground temperatures are above 29°C (85°F) or below 7°C (45°F).

Special Warning for Brachycephalic Breeds:

Short-nosed breeds (Bulldogs, Pugs, Persian cats, etc.) are at higher risk in hot weather. Some airlines have additional restrictions or may refuse these breeds entirely during summer months.

Always Check:

Contact your airline directly before booking. Temperature restrictions vary by airline and can change daily based on weather forecasts at origin, destination, and transit airports.
